The Story.

It's quite an interesting story to tell how I landed this internship. I was a junior at BU and I took a marketing course called "Advertising and Promotion". The course had a real-life client that we were supposed to help by creating a marketing campaign. Our client was Ame & Lulu, a local business based in Boston selling unique female athletic fashionable totes and accessories. You can check em' out at www.ameandlulu.com they have pretty sleek stuff. So one random day, during one of our classes, Amye Kurson, the owner of Ame & Lulu decided to visit. After her speech, I simply asked her if she had any internship spots available in the company for the summer.

Funny enough, the answer was no. But... she was kind enough to refer me to her friend John O'Donnell, brother of actor Chris O'Donnell (known for his role as Robin in Batman & Robin movie), who owns a clothing line in LA called johnnie-O. John decided to interview me and luckily for me I was already in LA visiting my girlfriend at that time. I met John, and he decided to hire me, a couple months later after my finals at BU I arrived in LA on Mon 6/1/09 and I've been staying in Hollywood ever since.

Why did I decide to blog? Well I really needed to put my thoughts down somewhere because they just keep running through my head, all these wonderful thoughts and memories. What's better than an online diary? Why did I call myself The Naked Intern of Johnnie-O? I couldn't think of a name for the blog and since I am just starting out as an intern at Johnnie-O why not put it as it is and "The Naked" part I got the inspiration from Jamie Oliver, The Naked Chef. He calls himself the Naked Chef because he lays out all his recipes as they are and no secrets kept. I want to do the same for this diary, to be as blatant as I possibly can. My boss doesn't know, so it's just a personal thing. Voila!
